How I: Fade with Gel Polish

Start out with properly cleaned, prepped, and base coated nails.

Choose your colors. I'm using:
  1. Lechat - Shocking Pink [pink]
  2. Gelish - Tiger Blossum [orange]
  3. RCM - Award Winning [gold]

I begin with a thin coat of pink at the bottom 1/3 of the nail.

Avoid ending in a straight line, keep it as 'jagged' as possible.
Now, add a thin coat of orange through the middle 1/3 of the nail. starting and ending as zig zaggy as possible. Then, repeat with the third color through the tip, again zig zaggy.

NO STRAIGHT LINES

*may have to clean off brush before putting back into bottle.
*don't forget to cap the tip.

Cure in UV/LED lamp for proper amount of cure time. Then repeat the 1/3 painting method to build opacity. Again, be sure not to end in a straight line CURE.

I start by blending the line between the pink and the orange. Here I'm just using an old makeup brush. Hold the brush above the nail horizontally over the pink meet orange line. May have to flip brush a few times to get the color placement right. So That when the brush is flipped back over the nail pink is over pink, orange over orange, and gold over gold.

Once you've figured out the placement of color on the brush, paint accordingly. Place the brush horizontally over the pink to orange line and then sorta tap dance the brush like you would a makeup sponge over where the pink fades to the orange.

Second, blend the line where the orange meets the gold. So once you figure out the color placement for your brush. Paint accordingly. Place the brush horizontally over the orange to gold line, and "sponge"

Third, is the overall blend of the nail. The barrel or metal piece will reference as the tip of the nail so paint starting at the barrel gold, orange, pink. then sponge the brush over the entirety of the nail.

CURE.

Repeat the overall nail blend, CURE, add top coat, CURE,  wipe that tacky layer off and ENJOY!
